President Vladimir Putin sent the Agreement between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kyrgyzstan on the Status and Conditions Governing the Presence of the Russian Air Base on Kyrgyz Territory to the State Duma for ratification

The agreement was signed in Moscow on September 22, 2003. Its coming into force will help support peace and stability in the Central Asian region, serve Russia’s long-term strategic interests and lay the legal foundation for the Russian Air Base to operate on Kyrgyz territory.
