Mr Putin attended a match of handball between the Russian and Kazakhstan teams.
The President was accompanied by the Governor of the Moscow Region, Boris Gromov, the Head of the Russian Olympic Committee, Leonid Tyagachev, and the Head of the Federal Agency for Physical Culture and Sport, Vyacheslav Fetisov.
After the match, which ended in a decisive victory for the Russian team, the President attended international swimming competitions.
After this, the President went to the Ice palace.
