The two leaders first had a one-on-one discussion and then were joined by both countries’ delegations for the continuation of the talks.

Mr Putin presented Mr Fox with several documents dated 1891, from the Russian Foreign Ministry archives.

The two Presidents adopted a joint declaration following their talks. They were also present for the signing of a number of bilateral agreements including an agreement on flight suitability between the Inter-State Aviation Committee and the Mexican Transport and Communications Ministry’s Chief Civil Aviation Department, a protocol of intention on energy sector cooperation between the Mexican Energy Ministry and the Industry and Energy Ministry of the Russian Federation, an agreement between the Russian Health and Social Development Ministry and the Mexican Health Ministry on cooperation in healthcare, and an agreement between Russia and Mexico on mutual legal assistance in criminal cases.

Mr Putin and Mr Fox gave a joint press conference following their talks.
