President Vladimir Putin introduced to the State Duma a draft law on the formation of a new region within the Russian Federation

June 30, 2005

In a letter to Chairman of the State Duma Boris Gryzlov, the President said he hoped that the draft federal constitutional law “On the formation within the Russian Federation of a new region resulting from the merger of Krasnoyarsk Region, Taimyr (Dolgan-Nenets) Autonomous District and Evenkia Autonomous District” would be given priority examination by the Duma.
