The Declaration stresses that in the 21st century the central tasks of mankind will be preserving peace, stability and security for all, and universal harmonious development in conditions of equality, observance of sovereignty, mutual respect, mutual benefit and a guarantee of prospects for the development of future generations.
Solving the tasks faced by mankind is only possible in conditions of a just and rational world order, based on generally accepted principles and norms of international law.
