The celebration events took place at the Royal City Gates.
Mr Putin spoke with the city residents gathered on the square before the gates, congratulated all the city’s people on the occasion and wished them health and happiness.
The President and his wife watched a performance based on the tales of Hoffman, performed by Kaliningrad actors, and visited the Royal Gates Museum.
Mr Putin wrote in the visitors’ book: “Congratulations on the city’s 750th anniversary. I am grateful to everyone who has restored the city and looks after it”.
Before attending the celebrations, the President laid a wreath at the Eternal Flame at the Memorial to the 1200 Guards.
