The meeting discussed progress with reforming the Border Guards Service, the situation on the country’s borders, providing housing to servicemen, helping civilian agencies combat poaching, and ensuring technical support and arms for the Border Guards Service.

Deputy Director of the Federal Security Service and Chief of the Border Guards Service Vladimir Pronichev and Nikolai Lisinsky, head of the Regional Border Guards Division in the Southern Federal District, took part in the meeting.

Following the meeting, Mr Putin met with the ship’s crew.
