The corresponding decree founds 11 grants designed to support the creative endeavours of leading theatrical associations and higher educational establishments with a total sum of 405 million roubles (USD 14 million) per year.
The grants programme is designed for three years. Grant recipients are to be determined by the President of Russia, who will make a decision based on presentations by the Government.
Today, the head of state met with directors of drama theatres and theatrical educational institutions who are the first recipients of the grants.
