“In many respects, the vigorous activity of the World Association of Russian Press increases the role of Russian-language mass media in the global information sphere, and widens its audience. The World Association of Russian Press pays close attention to increased publicity for Russian language, to strengthening contacts with compatriots, and to developing approaches that allow for the wide-reaching and objective coverage of events in Russia.

The creative and organising potential of the community of Russian-language mass media is absolutely unique. In the future, I expect that it will promote the realisation of collective international projects in culture and education, and initiatives in the field of knowledge, sports, formation, and youth exchanges.”
