Mr Putin and Mr Blair discussed cooperation in the fight against terrorism.

The President noted that Russia actively supported Britain’s initiative to sign the resolution on preventing the incitement of terrorism, emphasising that the resolution is a very timely document.

Mr Putin also thanked Mr Blair for his constructive approach to preparations for the forthcoming Russia-European Union summit. The summit will be held in early October.
