They discussed the prospects for expanding Russian-American cooperation in the energy sector.

Vladimir Putin considers that there is huge potential for bilateral cooperation in this sector, despite that fact that presently only a negligible part of Russian energy production reaches the American market.

The Chairman of the board and Chief Executive Officer of Exxon Mobil, Lee Raymond, the President of Exxon Mobil, Rex Tillerson, the Chairman of the board and Chief Executive Officer of ConocoPhillips, James Mulva, the Chairman of the board and Chief Executive Officer of ChevronTexaco, David O'Reilly, and the President of LUKOIL, Vagit Alekperov, took part in the meeting.
