Mr Putin and Mr Chirac discussed current bilateral cooperation issues, noting in particular the importance of further developing cultural ties. In this respect, Mr Chirac had high praise for the exhibition of Russian art that is opening today in Paris with the participation of the two Presidents’ wives.
Mr Putin and Mr Chirac also discussed cooperation in international affairs in light of the conclusions of the recent 2005 Summit in New York.
