Addressing the session, Mr Medvedev noted the importance of studying regional experience in dealing with the economic crisis and its consequences.
The President proposed that the Council of Legislators organize the process of monitoring and summarising information on the anti-crisis measures implemented in the regions.
The Council of Legislators was established in 2002, to guarantee a common legal space throughout the Russian Federation, coordinate the legislative work of the regional legislative bodies, and exchange experience. The Council is headed by Chairman of the Federation Council (upper house of parliament) Sergei Mironov.
