Vladimir Putin brought the ratification of the Agreement Between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan on the State Border before the State Duma

The Agreement was signed in Moscow on January 18, 2005.

In an order the President appointed Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov, and Special Envoy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Vladimir Volkov, to act as his official representatives while the Federal Assembly's chambers consider ratifying the Agreement on the state border between Russia and Kazakhstan.
