The message reads, in particular:

“I was pleased to have the opportunity to once again visit hospitable Turkish soil. I am sure that the inauguration of Blue Stream Gas Pipeline will enable us to build on what we have already achieved in our bilateral relations and will mark a new step on the road towards expanding the multidimensional partnership between Russia and Turkey.”

Mr Putin said he hoped the Turkish President would have the opportunity of visiting Russia in 2006.
