The Economic Development and Trade Minister told the President about the GDP growth rate as well as this year's rate of inflation and measures to reduce it in 2006.

They also discussed applications in the competition to create special economic zones.

German Gref emphasized that first and foremost, creating zones should promote the development of Far Eastern regions.

The Minister said that a number of measures for the development of these territories have already been prepared and by December 1 will be put before the Government for consideration.
