Vladimir Putin and Paul Martin discussed the results of the Climate conference that centred on the Kyoto Protocol and just took place in Montreal. They noted with satisfaction that high-level cooperation enabled participants to reach agreements at the Montreal conference.
They also discussed issues with respect to Russian-Canadian cooperation such as preparing for the Russian presidency of the G8 and other pressing questions relating to their bilateral relations.
