The President is ready to support the decision to transfer the Constitutional Court to Saint Petersburg once the State Duma formulates the corresponding draft bill

The issue of transferring in the Constitutional Court to Saint Petersburg was discussed at a meeting with Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court Valery Zorkin. First Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the North Western Federal District Ilya Klebanov, Governor of Saint Petersburg Valentina Matvienko, Administrative Board of the President of Russian Federation Vladimir Kozhin, Director of the Russian State Historical Archive Aleksandr Sokolov and writer and honourable citizen of St Petersburg Daniel Granin also took part in the meeting.

The President said that he is ready to support the decision to transfer the Constitutional Court to Saint Petersburg once the deputies of the State Duma express their opinion on this issue in a draft bill.
