The presidents discussed various issues concerning bilateral cooperation.
The talks then continued in an enlarged format.
Vladimir Putin and Nursultan Nazarbaev signed a Protocol on the Exchange of Instruments of Ratification of the State Border Agreement between Kazakhstan and Russia.
Two other agreements were signed in the presidents' presence. One of the documents founds the Eurasian Development Bank. Minister of Industry and Energy Viktor Khristenko signed the document on behalf of the Russian party and Finance Minister Arman Dunaev did so on behalf of Kazakhstan. The Agreement on Cooperation between Vnesheconombank and the Development Bank of Kazakhstan was signed by the presidents of the respective banks, Vladimir Dmitriev and Kambar Shalgimbaev.
