A major press conference given by President Vladimir Putin for the Russian and foreign media has taken place at the Kremlin

The President’s press conference lasted 3 hours and 26 minutes – 23 minutes longer than the previous press conference.

Mr Putin answered almost 140 questions asked by 65 journalists. The questions came from 51 Russian journalists and 14 foreign journalists, including three correspondents from media outlets in the CIS countries.

More than 1,000 journalists received accreditation for the press conference. More than 400 print media journalists, around 380 television reporters, including from Russia’s Channel One and Russia TV channels, which broadcast the press conference live, 56 reporters from information agencies, more than 60 photographers and more than 40 radio reporters were present in the Round Hall in the Kremlin’s Building 14 where the press conference took place.

Overall, almost 400 journalists representing national media outlets, 350 representatives of Russian regional media outlets and around 280 foreign correspondents covered the press conference. Around 160 television cameras, including 50 from foreign television channels, recorded the event.

The press conference was broadcast live on Channel One and Russia and also on radio stations Mayak and Radio Russia.
