Mr Putin congratulated Mr Niyazov on his birthday.
The two Presidents expressed satisfaction at the implementation of the agreements reached during the summit between the two countries in Moscow in January 2006, and discussed specific aspects of their joint work in a number of different areas of cooperation, including in the fuel and energy sector. They also discussed future plans for contacts.
The conversation was the Russian side’s initiative.
