The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov, Chairman of the Federation Council Sergei Mironov, Chairman of the State Duma Boris Gryzlov, Head of the Presidential Executive Office Sergei Sobyanin, Deputy Prime Minister – Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov, other top officials, veterans of the Great Patriotic War.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the Presidential orchestra played the Russian national anthem, and then the guard of honour of the Presidential regiment marched past the Eternal Flame.
