The Russian President wished Viktor Yushchenko a Happy Birthday.

During the conversation the heads of state separately addressed topical issues concerning Russian-Ukrainian relations.

The head of the Russian state also sent an official congratulations to the Ukrainian President which reads, in particular:

“I expect that the constructive dialogue that exists between us will be fully able to ensure that bilateral cooperation between Russia and Ukraine becomes more profound. I am convinced that expanding Russian-Ukrainian relations' positive potential is in the long-term interests of our peoples.”
