Vladimir Putin and Czech President Vaclav Klaus laid wreaths on the monument to Soviet soldiers who fell fighting to liberate the Czech capital in 1945

March 2, 2006, Prague

The monument was erected in 1949 in Olsany Cemetery, the Czech capital's largest cemetery.

Russian and Czech veterans of the World War II participated in the ceremony. The heads of state addressed the veterans and wished them good health for many more years.
