At the meeting of the Council of Legislators devoted to implementing priority national projects, the President pointed out that the legislative organs of the regions of the Russian Federation must act in a systematic and consistent way in order to strengthen the unified legal space.

The implementation of projects in the field of health care, education, housing policy and agriculture has demonstrated that possible lacunae in regional legislation can seriously hinder the accomplishment of important social and economic tasks.

The President also said that it is inadmissible for regions to adopt legislation that contradicts existing legislation at the federal level.
