They discussed topical issues concerning the social and economic development of the region and various aspects of preparations for the 2014 Olympics.

Anatoly Pakhomov reported to the President on the implementation of three development programmes for the city-resort – federal, regional and municipal. The latter is entitled “Sochi – the hospitable city.”

The President instructed city authorities to focus on energy security and social services, and asked regional leaders to do everything in their power to assist the city in its preparations for the Olympics.
