Aleksandr Zhukov informed the President about procedures designed to increase the effectiveness of budgetary spendings.

The Deputy Prime Minister talked about how the second year of this work is proceeding within the government. The first step involved introducing a three-year planning of the budget that allows programmes to be implemented not within one year, but in the medium-term. The second step involves making the transition from planning expenses to planning results.

Aleksandr Zhukov reported that, at present, work to introduce such a feature into budgets at the regional and local levels is proceeding. According to the Deputy Prime Minister, this feature can be introduced into the whole budgetary system in the next one or two years.
