Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Zhukov reported on the draft laws drawn up by the government to improve tax legislation and customs regulation.

Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov informed the President on the results of the CIS foreign ministers’ meeting that took place in Moscow on April 21, and Interior Minister Rashid Nurgaliyev reported on the CIS interior ministers’ meeting in Dushanbe. Meeting in the Tajik capital, the CIS interior ministers discussed cooperation between the CIS law enforcement agencies in international searches, prevention of terrorism and human trafficking and the exchange of operationally significant information.

Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Sergei Ivanov reported on the results of tests of new weapons systems and spoke about the upcoming meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation defence ministers in Beijing.
