Following on from last month’s Russian-German intergovernmental consultations in Tomsk, Mr Putin and Mrs Merkel discussed aspects of bilateral relations and current international issues, in particular the Iranian nuclear issue and the situation in the Middle East.
The conversation took place at Germany’s initiative.
