While discussing the preparation of the meeting between the heads of state and government of the G8 member states in St Petersburg both sides expressed their satisfaction with the summit agenda and Russian-British cooperation in this process.
In a similarly constructive atmosphere they exchanged opinions on topical issues in international politics including Iran and the situation in the Middle East.
