The message notes the current favourable conditions for developing Russian-Qatari relations, including in the trade and economic, energy and investment spheres.
The document also notes the high level of foreign policy understanding between Russia and Qatar, understanding that is based on similar approaches to key international and regional issues, and it states the conviction that only through political and diplomatic efforts led by the United Nations can solutions be found to the current conflicts in the Near and Middle East.
The message was delivered by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, who is in Qatar on a working visit.
