The Russian-Kazakhstan Agreement on Establishing the Eurasian Development Bank was signed in Astana on 12 January 2006.
The Eurasian Development Bank was established with a view to assist stable economic development in Russia and Kazakhstan, support high rates of economic growth, expand trade and other forms of economic relations between the two countries, and encourage direct investments.
