The public’s inexhaustible interest in the Festival is convincing proof that it still remains a significant event in the country’s cultural life and truly helps strengthen international cooperation in the humanities.
It is important that the Moscow Film Festival has a historical tradition of showing profound, serious cinema which leaves the spectator with a positive impression. And of course the Festival always shows films that demonstrate the highest skill, unquestionable mastery and often help launch the careers of talented young filmmakers.
I am confident that the distinguished and star-studded jury will choose the best samples of modern cinema art. And the Festival’s visitors will have an excellent opportunity to plunge into festival life and to enjoy the finest examples of its art.”
