The main subject of discussion was the crisis situation that has arisen following the terrorist attack and hostage taking and the subsequent large-scale Israeli military operation in the Gaza Strip.
Mr Putin informed Mr Olmert of the steps Russia is taking to help resolve the crisis as quickly as possible, restore the situation to normal and resume the peace process.
