The interactive webcast lasted two hours and ten minutes. During this time the President answered almost 40 questions, some of which he chose himself.

As of 12:30 on 30 June 2006 questions for the webcast were asked on the Russian Yandex site. During that same period questions were also asked on the BBC website.

Both Yandex and BBC sites gave users the opportunity to ask new questions and to vote for those that had already been asked.

More than 162,000 questions were asked by Russian and foreign Internet users. 1,250,000 people voted for questions that had already been asked.
