Mr Putin was informed immediately of the disaster and instructed the relevant agencies and services to provide all possible help to the victims and their families.
Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov has been instructed to propose names for a commission to examine the causes of the A-310 aircraft’s crash. The commission will also address the issue of providing assistance to the injured and the families of those who lost their lives.
The President has declared July 10, 2006, a day of mourning in Russia.
