Vladimir Putin sent a message of condolences to Indian President Abdul Kalam and Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in connection with the terrorist attacks that took place in India

July 11, 2006

“We were shaken to hear of the deaths of dozens of innocent people in a series of explosions on 11 July 2006 in Bombay’s commuter rail network and the deaths in Jammu and Kashmir, the telegram reads. This unscrupulous and monstrous crime can never be justified. The terrorists who are guilty of this cruel act must be severely punished.

On behalf of the people of Russia I express my sincere condolences to the relatives and loved ones of the victims. I ask that you transmit our sympathy to all the victims.”
