The lunch was the first meeting of the G8 summit 2006.
Vladimir Putin and Liudmila Putin welcomed visitors on the Palace’s porch. The President of the European Commission, Jose Manuel Barroso, and his wife were the first to arrive. Following their arrival the other honourable guests started to arrive at the Palace.
The lunch at Peterhof Palace is the only G8 event taking place outside of Konstantinovskii Palace in Strelna.
