Vladimir Putin made this statement during his conversation with the Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia, Saud Al-Faisal.

The state of Israel has the right to and should live in security. Along with this, the fact that many problems between Israel and its neighbours remain unresolved repeatedly results in conflict, the President of Russia noted.

Vladimir Putin expressed his hope that joint diplomatic efforts by Russia and Saudi Arabia will help find a mutually acceptable solution to the troubled situation that has developed both in Lebanon and in Palestine.
