The President of the Republic of Finland has expressed condolences over the crash of a Russian airplane on behalf of her nation.
The heads of state exchanged opinions on the prospects of further cooperation between Russia and the European Union (EU) in the context of Finland’s EU rotating Presidency. They discussed urgent international issues, such as the situation in Lebanon, and the Iranian nuclear program, as well as individual bilateral questions.
The conversation took place at the initiative of the Finnish side.
