The President’s message reads, in particular:

“All Russians feel profound sorrow at the news of the tragic air disaster at Meshhed that has cost the lives of dozens of Iranian citizens.

I express my sincere condolences to Your Excellency and to the people of Iran. I ask you to pass on to the families of the victims our sympathy, wish them steadfastness in their time of grief, and wish those injured in the disaster a speedy recovery.”
