In his message of congratulations, Mr Putin noted the fast-growing relations between Russia and Tajikistan based on the principle of strategic partnership, and said that continued development of multifaceted bilateral cooperation would help to strengthen the traditional ties of friendship and understanding between the two countries.

“Constructive cooperation between Russia and Tajikistan is playing an increasingly significant role in consolidating security and stability in Central Asia, and our countries’ similar positions on the resolution of regional issues help to promote integration within the CIS, the Eurasian Economic Community, the Collective Security Treaty Organisation and the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation”, the message said.
