The two leaders noted with satisfaction the high level of cooperation between the two countries, both in bilateral relations and on the international political stage. They expressed their commitment to continued development of multifaceted friendly ties, a commitment reflected in the results of the Russian foreign minister’s recent visit to Luanda.

Mr Putin and Mr Dos Santos also discussed preparations for the Russian-Angolan summit planned for the beginning of 2007, and looked at practical steps to develop and intensify trade and economic cooperation.
