The President of Russia sent a congratulatory message to the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rakhmonov, on the occasion of his birthday.

The message reads, in particular:

“In the recent history of Tajikistan your name has become indissolubly linked with restoring peace and harmony on the ancient territory of Tajikistan, strengthening the country’s statehood, and developing its economic and social sphere.

In Russia we highly appreciate your personal contribution towards deepening our multifaceted bilateral cooperation. I am convinced that consistently implementing the agreements we have reached during our meetings will act as a new stimulus to the cooperation that exists between allies such as Russia and Tajikistan, cooperation in the interests of our countries, our peoples and in strengthening stability in Central Asia”.

Today Vladimir Putin also telephoned Emomali Rakhmonov and personally wished him a happy birthday.
