Mr Putin and his wife met the Bushes at the gangway to the plane. The welcome was followed by an informal discussion and lunch.
Mr Putin and Mr Bush discussed various bilateral relations issues during their conversation and also looked at current international problems, in particular the Iranian nuclear programme and the situation in the Middle East.
The two Presidents also exchanged views on nuclear non-proliferation in the broader sense.
Both Presidents confirmed their readiness to sign a bilateral agreement on Russia’s accession to the World Trade Organisation at their upcoming meeting in Hanoi.
