The Russian and U.S. Presidents affirmed their readiness to sign a bilateral agreement on Russia's accession to the World Trade Organisation at their upcoming meeting in Hanoi

President Vladimir Putin and his wife Lyudmila met with George W. Bush and his wife Laura, who stopped at Vnukovo-2 Airport on their way to the APEC summit in Hanoi.

During informal talks, the two leaders discussed various bilateral relations issues and also current international issues, in particular the Iranian nuclear programme and the situation in the Middle East. Mr Putin and Mr Bush also exchanged views on nuclear non-proliferation in the broader sense.

The two Presidents confirmed their readiness to sign a bilateral agreement on Russia’s accession to the WTO at their upcoming meeting in Hanoi.
