Vladimir Putin asked the Defense Ministry’s management to continue work to modernize the governance system used by the Armed Forces.

The meeting took place within the larger context of training musters of the command staff of the military department. The three-day musters that began on 14 November 2006 are designed to tabulate the results of the Armed Force’s combat training in 2006 and to designate the tasks for 2007. The meetings are taking place under the direction of the Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister, Sergei Ivanov.
