Meeting with President of the Vietnamese National Assembly Nguyen Phu Trong, Mr Putin noted that the Russian delegation’s visit to Vietnam was taking place successfully, and emphasised the role played by the respective parliaments in the two countries’ relations.
Mr Putin congratulated Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung on his birthday at a meeting which took place at the Vietnamese Government Chancellery.
Speaking with General Secretary of the Vietnamese Communist Party Nong Duc Manh, Mr Putin said he was happy with the way relations are developing between the two countries.
