Finance Minister Aleksei Kudrin expects that at the beginning of December the Federation Council will confirm the federal budget for 2007. According to the Minister, the budget indicators are conforming to the required tasks in the spheres of financing national projects and in national defense.

Health and Social Development Minister Mikhail Zurabov reported to the President that deliveries of medical equipment within the national project, Health, are proceeding according to schedule. In turn, Vladimir Putin asked that the Minister further assist the investigation concerning the Fund for Obligatory Medical Insurance.

Trade and Economic Development Minister German Gref talked about the growth of investment and how work is proceeding towards establishing the Venture Fund. The Minister also reported on the results of the national economy’s development from January till October 2006.

First Deputy Prime Minister Dmitrii Medvedev talked about the increase of production of construction materials within the national project, Accessible Housing.

Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov informed the President on the process of creating the space navigation system, GLONASS. He also reported that the next session of the interdepartmental Commission for Export Controls on 1 December 2006 will address questions such as providing modern technical equipment for check points and customs points that are being put into operation. It will also address the issue of coordinating the actions of different federal agencies as they participate in the initiative to fight against the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.
