Mr Medvedev congratulated Mr Voronin on the Moldovan Communist Party’s victory in yesterday’s parliamentary election and said that stability and continuity in Moldova’s government would play an important part in ensuring continued all-round development of constructive and friendly cooperation between Russia and Moldova.

Mr Medvedev also informed Mr Voronin about the main results of the G20 summit. Mr Voronin thanked Mr Medvedev for his congratulations and information, saying it was very important and useful.

The conversation took place on Russia’s initiative.
